The things in life that make me the most tired are being in the places (read: among the people) where I don’t feel fully free. What does “fully free” mean? It means that I can speak my mind, even if my thoughts are small or irritated or petty, and not worry about being loved any … Continue reading
When I started the goal of blogging 100 days in a row, I didn’t think it was that big of a deal. But ten days in, I was like, Holy shit — how am I ever going to make it to 100? It was a much bigger goal than I originally anticipated. It takes a … Continue reading
I got a comment yesterday asking me about my job, what a typical day is like at lululemon, and how I knew it was the right career for me. Well, I can start out by saying that I didn’t know it was the right job for me, at all! I applied at lululemon because I … Continue reading
James, Matt and I got to go to the American Music Awards tonight! James’s fiancé Briggon works for Dick Clark Productions and got us tickets; it was so fun! My intention of the day was to spoil V with lots of attention, because I’m going to be gone a lot this week. We decided to go play at a nearby farm/pumpkin patch, and spontaneously met up with a dear friend I haven’t gotten to spend time with in so long, and her son. We … Continue reading

Writing, itself, is a perfectly good reason.” Then I whispered over to C, “Oh shoot, I forgot … Continue reading
There are a lot of things I could talk about for this one. I could talk about how forty-four is my favorite number, and it’s because of a silly reason. In third grade, doing math homework, a small earthquake shook our kitchen when I was doing problem number twenty-two. I immediately decided that twenty-two was … Continue reading
I finished my reading challenge for the year! (Click here to be friends with me on goodreads!) Thirty books. To some people, it sounds like nothing, and other people have said they can’t believe I read that much. The truth is, if I didn’t have a young child, I could easily read two books in … Continue reading
I’m happy to say my patience has benevolently returned today, and I came home from work and had a beautiful afternoon with V at the park. She was also joyful and easygoing, which obviously makes things easier. We had several dance parties in the living room (Mommy, dance wid me. Ayexa, pway ‘Big Time’ by … Continue reading
