James, Matt and I got to go to the American Music Awards tonight!
James’s fiancé Briggon works for Dick Clark Productions and got us tickets; it was so fun!
I’ve never been to an awards show before, so it was really neat to watch how it all worked and how much effort went into it. Just the changes to the stage for each performer were amazing to watch.
My favorite performance was definitely Taylor Swift! This was the third time I’ve seen her and she is always so good. Post Malone and Carrie Underwood were so great too!
I was excited that I got to dress up for the first time in a long time. Lululemon recently released a beautiful soft jumpsuit and so I wore that with a jacket and heels.
Ignore the messy bathroom!
James and Matt and I are so close and I’m so lucky to get to work with them and hang out outside of work too. We’ve gone to comedy shows together and even just played video games at Matt’s house during the company holiday party. While I want to continue to move up with the company, I love working with these two and would be so sad to be apart.
Great post, Jen! It would be so awesome to be able to go to an awards show in person and I’m glad you enjoyed it! I think it would be interesting to read a post centered around your job. Maybe how you knew it was the right choice for you? What your typical day looks like? How you manage to have work/home life balance? My job is always something that I’ve struggled with. I’ve never been completely happy and have found myself “waiting” to start my life because I’m not in the place I want to be. Did you ever struggle with that?
I am so glad you asked me this question. I realize I have been avoiding talking about lululemon. I will absolutely tackle this in a post this week; thank you again and be on the lookout for it! But to answer your questions — no day looks the same, some days it’s the right choice for me and other days I struggle, and I think it’s so very human to feel like we’re “waiting” to start our lives. Even when, like me, we’re almost four decades into life!
