Happy Friday! My husband got up for work this morning (he gets up like, super early everyday) and normally I barely budge, but I wasn’t able to go back to bed and so here I am! How have you been? Honestly, this has been a growth season for me, and by “growth” I mean d-i-f-f-i-c-u-l-t. … Continue reading
I felt it as soon as I woke up. “No.” I’d been going, going, going for a few weeks. I felt it in my bones, sure as anything – to all of the plans I had laid out for the day, my body was saying a strong “NO.” I’ve ignored my body’s “no” before, and … Continue reading
Hi guys! I write this to you from bed, where I am currently sniffling on a dreary Tuesday! Sad times for me. I never usually get sick, but I’ve been sick twice in the last four months. Takeaway: It’s time to start taking better care of myself. More regular sleep, more kombucha, more days off. … Continue reading
News to the world – I’m actually not a very good crafter. I am actually totally clumsy and most crafts I end up doing come out completely wrong the first time. Shock! It’s weird, because a lot of entries on this blog have ended up being DIY stuff! (See: Small Life, Slow Life: How to … Continue reading
(The opinions in this blog are 100% my own and are in no way affiliated with/endorsed by lululemon athletica. Now that I’ve said that, on with the show!) Haaaaaappy Friday, everyone! Hope you have a chunk of time, ’cause this blog’s a big one! I think I went a little crazy with everything I wanted … Continue reading
How have you been? It’s been pretty busy around here. Lots of work, and in my free time I’m editing a manuscript (not my own – that would mean the cows had come home[!]), and I’m also preparing to give a speech this Sunday on my experience with the whole Fukushima earthquake & nuclear thing…to … Continue reading
I’ve been thinking so much about bulletin boards lately (as I shared in Small Life, Slow Life: A Kick of Creativity), so when my friend Elizabeth told me that Crate & Barrel was holding a free marimekko DIY pinboard event, I was totally in! A huge fan of the bright poppy print, I’ve long lusted … Continue reading
How was your week? Mine was jam-packed; I can’t even believe it’s Friday already! If I had it my way, I’d post in Small Life, Slow Life every day. I was in fact just discussing this with some work friends after a staff meeting yesterday. We were talking (over mimosas!) about how a very small … Continue reading
You don’t have to be all new agey, woo-woo or into The Secret to make a vision board! But if you really hate the term, how about just calling it a “collage” and let’s move on, mmkay? I’ve been making collages since I was a teenager. To my mother’s horror, I once covered every square … Continue reading
C and I are both busy people and our phones are glued to our fingers. C does all his own scheduling, so he’s constantly hearing from clients. There’s also facebook, twitter, WordPress, Words with Friends, Draw Something…all these things keep me busy, and we were despairing a few weeks ago that we missed just having … Continue reading
