Small Life, Slow Life: 55/100 {A very special surprise visit!}

I was eating lunch at work today when I thought I saw a woman almost totally eat it on the gravel to my left. Then I noticed she kept leaping back and forth, and realized it was my sister! Whom I had just been chatting with on Instagram, but I thought she was in Chico!

When my sister was little and she knew I needed a laugh, she would run down the hallway and literally leap through the air outside my door. It always worked. I always laugh. And it still makes me laugh!

She had been planning to surprise me after I said months ago that I saw someone who had looked like her and I got so excited, but then sadly realized it couldn’t have been her. My husband, mom, and boss were all in on it!

Meaghan is quite a bit younger than me (thirteen years), but we have a very special relationship and have always been very close. She surprised me earlier this year with tickets to a Taylor Swift concert and asked me in such a special way.

We didn’t get to chat long earlier today, so we invited her and my mom over for dinner tonight and it was so nice just to relax and hang together. Simple time all together makes me really miss home and the ease of being together. I hope C and I can give V a similar feeling growing up.

Meaghan’s strength has always been the purity of her heart. She has such a gentle, easygoing way about her, and always sees the best in people. She is creative and thoughtful and one of the most caring people I have ever met.

When I got back from Japan and felt so down in the dumps, we would crank up Lady Gaga or Britney Spears in my mom’s living room and just dance it out. She was always down for a dance party with me!

I’m really lucky to have her in my life. I can’t think of a better sister.

Just being silly now, haha!

I love you Meaghan ❤️ Thank you for such a wonderful surprise!
