Today C took us to something so fun! Funbox!
Funbox is a pop-up museum/experience in our area. I had sort of been hearing about it but didn’t know it was so close to us. C told us to get dressed and we had no idea what we were in for.
People say it all the time, but one of the best things about having kids is getting to see the world through their eyes. To remember when things truly inspired awe, and were mysterious.
We got to travel through a tunnel of teddy bears, sit on a rainbow throne, go into an infinity room with stars, and dance in a room with a ton of balloons. V really loved it!
In the afternoon, I was super sore and tired because I pushed through a pretty tough workout this morning with my coworkers after five weeks off.
But my perfect husband graciously took V out for two hours so that I could take the longest bath and wash and blowdry my hair. (He is the best person.)
I even made a smoothie afterwards and got to read some poems on the couch, waiting for them to come home.
Mary Oliver is so good. The lines about the birds in the first poem actually made me stop what I was doing so I could read them again.
I hope you had a rejuvenating and restful Sunday!
