Small Life, Slow Life: 20/100 {It doesn’t have to be perfect.}

I can’t believe I’m already 20 blogs in! Twenty percent done.

I also can’t believe there are 80 blogs left. That feels like so many, haha. 😭

Anyway, here’s the skirt I was talking about yesterday!

After I blogged last night, I went downstairs and gave the sewing machine another go. And you know what?! A lot of it did end up coming back to me. C went to bed and I stayed up watching To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before on Netflix and trying to figure out how to snake an elastic band through a skirt without a safety pin. (Answer: tape it to a chopstick and feed the chopstick through. I was so freaking proud of myself.)

The skirt is not perfect. Oh no. On the contrary, if you look up close, the thing is a hot mess.

But you know what? She’s two and doesn’t care about straight seams. And I work for a clothing company, it’s not like I want to go into making clothing all the time.

Oh, if you’re interested, this is the link I used to figure out how to make the skirt! And trust me, if I can do this, literally anyone can. I have two left hands when it comes to crafts!

I’m so proud of myself that I got through the frustrating part and that today, there is a Moana skirt for a girl who loves Moana so much…when yesterday there was just a bolt of fabric. ❤️ I’m pretty hard on myself, but something I like about myself is that it never has to be perfect. It’s okay if it’s just good enough!
