I’ve been talking about taking risks a lot. Well, suffice to say that speaking in front of 300 people (with the video likely to reach, um, ten times that) was a huge risk for me! Last Tuesday, March 12th, I made my way to the El Rey (right in my old neighborhood) to talk to … Continue reading
Hey guys! Has it really been a month since I’ve said anything here? Well, it’s been amazing, and busy, and tough. February was filled with connection, hard work, late nights and all things new. Since October, there had been a lot of changes in my life (a major relationship ending, six weeks of living all … Continue reading
Hi guys! I write this to you from bed, where I am currently sniffling on a dreary Tuesday! Sad times for me. I never usually get sick, but I’ve been sick twice in the last four months. Takeaway: It’s time to start taking better care of myself. More regular sleep, more kombucha, more days off. … Continue reading
Has it ever happened to you? You had a bad day and go to bed feeling crappy. Upon waking the next morning, you dread going to work. Traffic is a nightmare, and once you’re at work, it feels like every difficult situation that could possibly arise magically does. You get home only to snap at … Continue reading
It happens to all of us, sweetheart. And it very recently happened to me. Things are humming along fine, and then – bam. A blow to the head. Suckerpunch. You didn’t see it coming. Hope you have a chunk of time, ’cause this blog’s a big one! I think I went a little crazy with everything I wanted … Continue reading
It’s Friday, so you know what that means – Whoops! It’s Saturday! A day late but never a dollar short, here are some links to keep you busy this weekend! I somehow just discovered IHeart Organizing. How I lived before I found this blog, I don’t even know. Be kind to the OCD in … Continue reading
I’ve been thinking so much about bulletin boards lately (as I shared in Small Life, Slow Life: A Kick of Creativity), so when my friend Elizabeth told me that Crate & Barrel was holding a free marimekko DIY pinboard event, I was totally in! A huge fan of the bright poppy print, I’ve long lusted … Continue reading
How was your week? Mine was jam-packed; I can’t even believe it’s Friday already! If I had it my way, I’d post in Small Life, Slow Life every day. I was in fact just discussing this with some work friends after a staff meeting yesterday. We were talking (over mimosas!) about how a very small … Continue reading
You don’t have to be all new agey, woo-woo or into The Secret to make a vision board! But if you really hate the term, how about just calling it a “collage” and let’s move on, mmkay? I’ve been making collages since I was a teenager. To my mother’s horror, I once covered every square … Continue reading
